Anjuli is a Tufts University Graduate who did fieldwork in Senegal for Professor Robinson on Mama Kiota’s family as a Tufts Summer Scholar. She is now completing a PhD in Sociology at Northeastern University in Boston, MA.

Kia Alston – Profile

Researh Assistant for Mama Kyota movie for 2 years, Kia did fieldwork in Niger & coded Life History questionnaires at Tufts University as a Tufts Summer Scholar and Sociology Major. Her fieldwork  involved interviewing Muslim women who are engaged in community work, such as promoting literacy and education for village children, through the JND and operating small scale businesses. Presently, she is getting a PhD in Social Work at Smith College.

Annahstasia Enuke – Profile

As a Tufts University junior studying political science and fine arts, Annahstasia has worked with Professor Robinson through her Race & U.S. Africa Policy Course and designing the beautiful Tisch College Global Humanitarian Citizen award to be presented to Mama Kiota.

Janeth Jepkogei CV 2017

Janeth, Tufts University 2017 Graduate,  won the Davis 100 Projects for Peace Award to fund her Technology for Peace Project. With the award’s $10,000 prize, Janeth traveled to Africa this past summer with Professor Pearl Robinson to plan the construction of a solar powered computer center for Mama Kiota’s Franco-Arab Lycée in Niger, which was founded in 1993 and is now attended by approximately 1,200 students.
